Acne Scars
What are acne scars?
Acne scars are textural changes that often occur on the skin as a result of moderate to severe acne and they tend to last well past the actual acne itself. Red/brown marks (known as hyperpigmentation) is another complication associated with acne, and it is especially stubborn and persistent in skin of colour (Asian and Black skin).
Acne scarring does not tend to resolve on its own, but the scars can improve with specific medical therapies such as microneedling, chemical peels and skin boosters.
