Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy?

PRP is a natural skin rejuvenation therapy which is prepared using the patient’s own blood. Once the blood has been centrifuged, plasma which contains growth factors is separated from the rest of the blood cells and it is injected back into the skin. Plasma will have an anti-ageing effect by stimulating cell growth and collagen production.

PRP can be combined with other treatments such as mesotherapy, fillers, chemical peels and/or Biotin injections (as part of hair loss protocols), which can be discussed during the initial consultation to create a treatment plan tailored to your skin needs.

What Are The Indications For PRP Therapy?

  • Skin rejuvenation (fine lines, skin flaccidity)
  • Dark circles
  • Acne scarring/other scars
  • Hair loss (Triple Therapy available*)

PRP therapy can either be applied using single injections or combined with microneedling.

*Triple Therapy has been designed to provide our patients with a holistic approach when dealing with Hair Loss. The synergy of PRP Hair + Mesotherapy Hair + Biotin IM Injection will promote hair growth and we recommend a package of 3 sessions for optimal results and some maintenance sessions every 6 months.

What Are The Steps Involved In This Treatment?

  1. Taking a small sample of blood.
  2. Preparation of the blood by centrifuging the sample in order to obtain the plasma (portion of the blood which we will be using for the treatment which is rich in growth factors.
  3. Application of topical numbing cream, if required.
  4. Treatment with single injections or microneedling.
